Talento precoce, Paolo Restani ha dato il suo primo recital a 12 anni. Nel 1984, sedicenne, viene invitato dal grande direttore artistico Francesco Siciliani a debuttare all’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia a Roma dove ottiene un successo straordinario testimoniato dalla critica più autorevole: E’ destinato a inserirsi fin d’ora nella grande tradizione pianistica del nostro paese
